What to do:

Fingertip test only:

 If sick

 If blood glucose is low

 After exercising

 Two hours or less after eating

 After injecting rapid-acting insulin (two hours or less)

 When you have just taken insulin

 If the blood glucose test result does not match how you feel, do a fingertip test to confirm the

result again.

 If you often do not notice when your blood glucose is low, do a fingertip test.
